Chapter 748: Young Master of the Langdon Family A man, tall and stern-faced, dressed in a gray suit embroidered with a pattern of two dragons playing with a pearl, walked in escorted by two bodyguards. The crowd that surrounded them parted to make way. Tina squinted her eyes and noticed the badge pinned on the man's chest, which seemed to signify an heir. Her eyes flickered, "The young master of the Langdon family?" Carl seemed surprised, "You know me?" Tina ceased her aggressive stance, though her muscles remained tense, "An elder in my family once mentioned you, Mr. Carl Langdon." Carl, in his thirties, was about the sage as Brandon and also single, unlike Luke, who was known for his ascetic and stern demeanor. Carl, on the other hand, was always gentle and courteous in public, perfectly embodying the image of a charming gentleman. Particularly now, seeing Tina, a young woman in her twenties, he appeared even more gentle, "The young lady seems well-informed. Well then, no need for roundabouts. I don't want to resort to violence. Just hand over what you have, and I will let you go." Carl casually gestured towards a black case, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Tina's eyes grew cold, her voice low, "What if I refuse?" Hearing this, Carl didn't get angry. He gently waved his folding fan, his voice calm and pleasant, "If you refuse, then, I'm sorry!" It seemed as if everything was prearranged.

At Carl's command, the Langdon family members swarmed forward. Tina handed the black case, containing a biochemical weapon, to Tristan, "Protect it at all costs. We can't let the Langdon family get their hands on this!" "Don't worry, Serena," Tristan replied, his voice firm.

Tina didn't say anything more. With a flick of her wrist, silver needles flew out, pinning about half of the Langdon family members in place, unable to move.

Carl narrowed his eyes, astonished by the prowess of the young woman he had encountered by chance. He had brought his most skilled subordinates, thinking the mission would be foolproof, but they were quickly incapacitated. Unable to maintain his composure any longer, Carl stepped up to one of his closest subordinates, "Silver needles blocking meridians? I never thought someone still mastered this skill." As the young master of the Langdon family, he had seen many mysterious techniques over the years.

Just by glancing at the tiny needle hole on his subordinate, he understood what had happened. His gaze towards Tina grew more cautious. He was about to change his strategy, but it was too late. "You won't be able to stop us today!" Tina scoffed and, catching him off guard, kicked out, sending a silver needle directly into Carl's chest, causing him severe pain. Blood gushed from his mouth, and both the Langdon family members and his bodyguards panicked. Colin Nash supported Carl, his gaze fierce, "What have you done to our young master?!" Tina didn't answer, instead sending several more silver needles flying. The Langdon family members tensed and scrambled to dodge. Amidst the chaos, the path to the mansion's main gate cleared.

Tina's eyes hardened, and she shouted, "Go!" Hearing this, the members of the Mountain Veil Order who were still engaged with other Langdon family members quickly disengaged. Jayden and his team protected Cole and Tristan in the middle. Before the Langdon family could react, they had already broken through the encirclement and ran outside the castle.

Colin Nash gritted his teeth, "Young master, are you alright?" Carl clutched his chest in agony, breaking free from the grasp of his subordinates.

"I never expected to be outwitted by a young girl today. Very well, investigate this. I want to see who dares to challenge me!" In the suburbs, the forest was a sea of green in the summer. The trees, dense and towering, made it easy for Tina and her companions to disappear into the woods without a trace. When the Langdon family members gave chase, all they saw were leaves fluttering in the wind-no sign of the fugitives.

Carl's expression was dark and menacing as he ordered, "Let's go, back home!" Meanwhile, at X Bureau. Jared was being led to Linden's office. As he glanced around, something felt different about the place, though he had only been away briefly. "What is X Bureau mainly doing now?" he asked.

The person leading the way, a former subordinate named Blake Johnston, was shy but admired Jared greatly. Seeing Jared looking somewhat lost earlier, Blake had eagerly volunteered to guide him. Upon hearing Jared's question, Blake explained, "Since General Praevion took over, X Bureau has exposed many traitors. There's been a huge uproar, and while stasks have been shifted, the crucial ones are still ongoing. Others have been transferred to different departments. Now, X Bureau has been turned into a propaganda department." A propaganda department? Jared mulled over these words, unsure of how to react. Was General Praevion here to retire? To transform a once vital intelligence agency into a propaganda department? Unaware of Jared's thoughts, Blake Johnston led him to what used to be Chief Shaw's office, now Mr. Shaw's. "Here we are. This is Mr. Shaw's office, Captain-oh, I should leave now." Though Jared was no longer with X Bureau, Blake still used his old title, which seemed perfectly natural. After Blake left, Jared knocked on the door.

"Cin." Linden, the once formidable director of X Bureau, propped his head with one hand and glanced up to see Jared. His eyes, listless moments before, now sparked with a trace of interest. He sat up straight and gestured for Jared to sit. "What brings you here today?" Jared didn't hesitate and took a seat across from him.

"I heard Mr. Shaw got a promotion. Just cto see the new office-it's quite spacious." "Enough with the teasing," Linden waved dismissively.

"What promotion? It's more like exile, having a bunch of undercover agents and detectives turn into propaganda workers Struggling daily with posters and video edits-I really don't get what the higher-ups are thinking." Jared coughed lightly, his eyes scanning the camera above Linden's head. "I'm not here to catch up. What do you know about the hidden family's secrets?"

Linden's demeanor becserious upon touching a subject of his m concern. "You're now the son-in-law of the Brookes family. Why not ask lan Brookes?" Jared raised an eyebrow.

"As someone intent on taking down the hidden family, I believe the information you hold might be more comprehensive than lan's."

The Brookes family, one of the few prominent families from the hidden clans currently in the world, did not get along well with the others. How could they know such deep secrets? Linden sighed, acknowledging Jared's reputation as the most capable captain of X Bureau. He opened a drawer and pulled out a document.

"I don't have all the details, but aside from the five major families, the other hidden clans also have their own secret weapons."
